Western Australia Trip 2016 Day 4

24th May 2016:
Port Lincoln – Ceduna, 440.3km

Port Lincoln to Ceduna

Got a slightly earlier start today, managed to be packed up and ready to go just after 8am. First thing was to find the 2 caches along the foreshore, then go pay for last nights accommodation.

After that, it was a bit of a practice 4X4 session out to the end to find 3 caches, 2 of which I DNF’d 😦 anyway, it was a bit of fun.

Port Lincoln

Some spectacular views over towards Grantham Island, but I wasnt prepared to risk the possibilities of a shark in a blow up kayak, so Photo’s will have to do.

I then headed toward Coffin bay, but upon reaching the entrance, realized there was no way I was getting to the cache I wanted to today and getting to Ceduna at a reasonable hour, so I bailed…. Here is a picture near the entry of the National Park at Coffin Bay….

After a Multitude of DNFs and soggy logs, it was time to depart and head for Ceduna, no time for any stops, but needed a break so stopped at the Cummings Monument, some great views here and a cache to boot.

Arrived at Ceduna at 5.30pm, having found 10 caches for the day, driven 440km and clocked the 10,000 mark on my car.
