Western Australia Trip 2016 Day 13

June 2nd 2016

Campsite “1” to Mandurah Caravan park, via Mount Cook and Fairbridge.

Today was time for an accommodation change and a shower and shave well overdue. First thing, I was told about a series of caches on Mount Cooke that sounded just my style, so off I went.

After an initial problem with Nuvi trying to take me down a track that turned out to be the Bibbulmun Track, I eventually found the right track to the car park and off I went. The loop walk started along a 4WD track, later taking a right turn onto the Bibbulmun. I really enjoyed this part of the walk, especially when the elevation started to increase and I ended up on the top of the mountain. Superb area and really glad I did this part of the track. A stunning part of the world. I also managed to find the 23 caches on the circuit. When I got back to the car, I noticed a Wherigo cache that had been published still had no found it log, so I decided to give it a go at being first to find. Lucky me, for my first WA FTF. 🙂

Sitting in the caravan park, contemplating an early dinner while writing up these past few days blogs.
