It was Cal’s Birthday, so after the invites were sent out, I was excited about the new location and the potential of a ride to the top of Arthurs Seat on the Brand New (Well, a year old anyway) Arthurs Seat Eagle.
I looked it up during the week and discovered an RACV discount, but we found out when we arrived that it only applied if you ordered ONLINE. So, ordered on the phone to get the discount in a fairly seamless process.
The ride to the top was unexpectedly quite we all agreed we expected some sort of cogs whirring type noise, but a good very smooth ride compared to the old rickety chairlifts that stood here in the past.
After some sweet cakes with the Birthday boy and a few friends, Richard, Karen and I made our way down the hill on foot, deciding earlier in the day to take a walk along a section of the 2 Bays Walking Track back to the car. A pleasant walk back to the car that took us about an hour at a fairly casual pace.
