Scotland Driveby Day 6

Today started with a quick pack up as my camp location last night wasn’t exactly great. (Great View tho!). I headed nearby to the forest surrounding North Third Reservoir where I found as many of a series of Challenge caches as I could, doing a bit of a loop walk.

I then headed towards Stirling for some lunch and to visit the place where the Battle of Bannockburn took place in a time 400+ years before Australia was even discovered.

After this, I headed into Stirling proper, but such steep roads in town heading up to the Castle, I decided better to rest my foot a bit longer and headed out to the other side of town to the William Wallace memorial. Ummm No, not for me today, 250 steps to get to the top, so I just grabbed a coffee and relaxed.

I ended up camping the night back at the Carron Valley Reservoir where I went for a walk yesterday, a peaceful spot and nobody else there for the night. A good opportunity for an early morning walk. I did end up driving around 10 miles to find some dinner in a town called Kilsyth. Not far from home hey!. On the menu tonight was chilli chicken and fried rice. It was yum.
